What are the classifications of electric car charging stations (piles)?

In the previous article, we talked about the Electric car charging billing system and charging station application scheme. In this article, we will talk about the classification of charging stations (piles).
(1) According to the installation method, charging piles can be divided into floor-standing charging piles and wall-mounted charging piles.
①Floor charging piles are suitable for installation in parking spaces that are not close to the wall.

②Wall-mounted charging piles are suitable for installation in parking spaces close to the wall.

(2) Charging stations (piles) can be divided into public charging piles, special charging piles and self-use charging piles according to the installation location.
①Public charging piles are built in public parking lots (garages) in combination with parking spaces to provide public charging services for social cars. Charging piles installed in public places and large residential parking garages can be set with fast and slow charging modes, but the charging piles should be intelligent to solve the problems of peak and valley time-based charging, security alarms, and anti-theft. Public charging piles are one of the main links in the development of the electric car industry, and must be coordinated and developed with other areas of electric cars. The charging parking spaces shall be less than 8 charging stations, which should all be configured as small electric cars. The charging parking spaces are 8 or more charging stations, and 75% of the charging station parking spaces should be used for small electric cars and 25% for large and medium-sized electric cars.

②Special charging piles are built in the unit (enterprise)’s own parking lot (garage) and used by the internal personnel of the unit (enterprise).
③ Self-use charging piles are built in personal parking spaces (garages) to provide charging for private users. Self-use charging piles generally use slow charging methods, using night charging (lasting 7 to 8 hours). Charging electric cars at night can enjoy discounts on electricity prices during low power consumption periods, which is time-saving and economical. Slow charging can also extend battery life.
(3) According to the number of charging ports, charging piles can be divided into one pile for one charging and one pile for multiple charging.
(4) The scale of charging stations should be divided into three categories according to the following standards.
①Large charging station: There are more than 16 charging parking spaces.
②Medium-sized charging stations: 8-16 charging parking spaces.
③Small charging station: less than 8 charging parking spaces.
