Power battery management system operation mode

1. Car mode
The structural block diagram of the battery management system in car-mounted mode is shown in Figure 1. The role of the battery management system in the on-board operation mode is to control and display. The control function is that the battery management system (central control module) informs the car controller, motor controller and other equipment of the necessary battery status in real time through the CAN1 bus, so as to adopt a more reasonable control strategy, which can effectively complete the operation task and can Extend battery life. The display function is that the battery management system (central control module) informs the car monitoring system of the detailed information of the battery pack through the high-speed CAN2 bus, completes the display of battery status data and fault alarms, and provides a basis for the maintenance and replacement of the battery.

2. Car charging mode
The structure diagram of the battery management system in the car charging mode is shown in Figure 2. The role of the battery management system in the car charging operation mode is to understand the charging status of the entire battery in real time, control the charging of the battery, and complete the charging process of the entire battery.

In the car charging mode, the battery on the car is not unloaded to the ground. The charging cable of the charger is directly plugged into the charging plug of the electric car for charging. At this time, the car-mounted commercial speed CAN bus is added to the charger node, and the rest remains unchanged. The charger understands the real-time status of the battery through the high-speed CAN bus, adjusts the charging strategy, and realizes the safe charging of the entire battery.
3. Single-box charging mode
The structure diagram of the battery management system in the single-box charging mode is shown in Figure 3. The role of the battery management system in the single-box charging operation mode is to understand the charging status of the single-box battery in a timely manner, control the charging of the battery, and complete the charging process of the single-box battery.

In the daily supplementary charging mode, only the battery box and the battery measurement and control module in the battery box are unloaded from the car, and the central controller is still on the car. For this reason, when charging, use the RS-485 of the battery management unit The bus or CAN bus communicates, and the battery management unit informs the charger of the voltage, temperature, and fault information of the individual batteries of the single-box battery in real time, so as to realize safe and optimized charging.
